Nikon is a founding member of Simicich Limberis, PLLC, where he concentrates his practice on transactional real estate, estate planning, and estate administration. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut.

A native New Yorker, Nikon brings to his practice more than a decade of experience in financial services. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the University at Albany in 1998, he spent three years at Morgan Stanley before joining Sandler O’Neill + Partners as a trader in 2001, where he contributed to the firm’s rebuilding in the aftermath of September 11. While continuing at Sandler O’Neill, he attended New York Law School’s evening program from 2003 to 2007, and he was admitted to the New York bar in 2008, the Connecticut bar in 2009 and the United States Southern District of New York in 2015.

In 2012, Nikon began practicing law full time under the Honorable Joseph Risi, and in 2014 he founded his own practice. Today he guides individuals, families, and lending institutions through every stage of the real estate process, from contract negotiation and due diligence through financing and closing, with the attentive, hands-on service that comes from a small-firm practice. His years on Wall Street give him a practical understanding of the financial side of each transaction, which he draws on to anticipate issues early and keep deals moving. As a title insurance agent for major underwriters, he is able to coordinate title work directly, offering clients a more seamless and efficient closing. Nikon also helps clients plan for the future, preparing wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents tailored to their goals, and guiding families through the administration of a loved one’s estate with care and clarity.

Steven Simicich is a zoning and land use lawyer who has had great success providing creative solutions for challenging real estate requirements. Steven is strategically focused with demonstrated ability to circumvent the administrative and legal processes involved in attaining entitlements and approvals for clients.

His strengths include deep knowledge of New York City zoning law and policy, environmental, real estate and administrative law. Steven has earned a reputation for effective project management, negotiation and influencing skills, particularly dealing with elected officials and community stake-holders.

Steven is a Board Member of the Astoria Park Alliance, Queens, NY as well as a Board Member of the Village Alliance, Manhattan, NY.


He received is Doctor of Law from Saint John’s University School of Law and a certificate of Sustainable Design, Construction and Development from NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.
